This book considers the many ways Black men pass through an ordinary day. Its scenes include working from a truck, traveling by subway, talking at a bus stop, shopping, and visiting a barbershop. Other moments show men playing double Dutch, making music, skateboarding, playing basketball and video games, sharing coffee, listening, laughing, and expressing love. Ink-and-digital-collage art portrays Black men across different ages, skin tones, body types, and styles, placing everyday activity and shared joy within an African American community.
