Wake the Wild Creatures

Three years after being taken from her home, Talia seeks a way back to the Neves, a ruined hotel hidden in the Catskill Mountains. She once lived there with her mother, Pola, and a community of women who had escaped cruel men or hidden from the law. A mysterious mist shielded their refuge from outsiders. But after the community grew, electric lights broke through the forest, uniformed men arrested Pola for murder and fugitive status, and Talia was removed from the mountaintop haven.
