Up, Up, Up, Down!
Kimberly Gee, illustrated by Kimberly Gee
An energetic toddler spends a day with a parent, encountering paired opposites in everyday routines. The child asks to leave the crib and is lifted out; breakfast brings no and yes, dressing becomes on and off, and outings call for both hurry and slowing down. Swimming, sandbox play, and other activities continue the pattern, with occasional shifts in pacing and layout. At day’s end, another adult returns home. The story centers the toddler and caretaker as they move from morning activity to bedtime.
