The Zuzu Secret

After moving to Silver Spring, Maryland, twelve-year-old Josie finds a bearded dragon following the car accident that leaves her mother with a concussion. An animal lover, Josie wants to care for the lizard, Zuzu, and eventually find its home. But the family’s rule against pets means she must conceal the animal from her father and her fifteen-year-old brother, Abe, who has Prader-Willi syndrome. As Josie’s deceptions grow, Abe tries to work out what she is hiding, while Josie secretly offers to take him to a Baltimore Orioles game.
