Ruby decides to build a fort after finding old boards. Her brothers dismiss the idea and decline each request to help, whether she needs plans drawn or work done. Ruby asks them to show that they are prepared to help before inviting them in. The story follows Ruby’s determination as she turns an idea into a project, while her family members also assist with the work.
