The Little Green Hen

In a reworking of “The Little Red Hen,” Little Green Hen plants seeds from an old apple tree and tends a growing orchard. Dog prunes the trees, Sparrow protects leaves and fruit, and Squirrel harvests, while Peacock, Fox, and Cat refuse to help. Days of rain flood the reluctant animals out of their homes, and they shelter with Little Green Hen and her helpers. Afterward, everyone joins the cleanup and helps care for the orchard.
