The Language of Spells
Garret Weyr
Grisha is a dragon born in Germany’s Black Forest in 1803, the final year in which dragons are born. Captured while young by an emperor’s sorcerer, he is transformed into a teapot. The change keeps him alive as magic fades and other dragons disappear. Much later, he meets Maggie, the daughter of a poet who sees herself as ordinary despite being unusual. Together, Grisha and Maggie investigate the disappearance of the dragons, a mystery that reaches to Vienna.
