The Eleventh Trade

After Sami and his grandfather escape war-torn Afghanistan, they make money busking in Boston with the grandfather’s rebab, a traditional Afghan instrument. When the rebab is stolen, Sami finds it in a music store but cannot afford to buy it back. He begins making a series of trades to raise the money. The search brings up memories of his past and leads him toward unexpected connections in his community.
