The Dress in the Window

A young boy sees a red dress in a shop window and wants to wear it and swirl in it. He does chores to earn enough money to buy the dress, only to find that it has already been sold. His mother later gives him the dress as a birthday gift. The story follows his desire, his work toward the purchase, and the outcome when the dress disappears from the window.
