The Creepening of Dogwood House

After his mother dies, Roddie moves into Dogwood House with his aunt and uncle, in the home where his mother and aunt grew up. He holds close to memories of cooking with his mother and of her caring for his hair, while choosing to continue doing his own hair. The aging house, built by his ancestors, needs extensive work, and helping his relatives gives Roddie some comfort. But he is disturbed by coils and strands of hair hidden under wallpaper. Family stories and rituals connected to hoodoo traditions deepen the mystery of the house.
