Seventeen-year-old Blade is the son of a rock star whose addictions have shaped difficult parts of his life. As Blade works through painful issues from his past, he learns that he was adopted and sets out to find his birth mother, who volunteers in Ghana. Tabloid rumors and a closely guarded secret also threaten his sense of identity. Told in verse, the novel follows Blade’s search for answers about his family and himself.
