Seeing into Tomorrow

This collection brings together twelve haiku Richard Wright wrote later in his career and photographs by Nina Crews of diverse brown-skinned boys. The poems focus on nature and small observations, including wind in trees, an ant’s path, a muddy road, a dog walk, sunset, and beetle. An introduction connects Wright’s Mississippi childhood and later life as a writer, and the book closes with additional information about him and haiku.
