Olu lives near Lagos, Nigeria, and his cousin Greta lives in Milan, Italy. Although they have never met in person, the two children share a close bond and many things in common. They imagine ways of reaching one another, from walking and skating to travel by car, boat, or plane. While they cannot meet yet, they mail boxes of their lives, talk by computer, and imagine adventures together. The story ultimately shows them together as teenagers.
