Old Dog Baby Baby
Julie Fogliano
An old family dog would rather spend the day asleep on the kitchen floor, until a crawling baby arrives. The baby’s attention wakes the dog, bringing pokes and paw squeezes. The dog seems to enjoy the baby’s company, and eventually both of them fall asleep together on the floor. The family appears only briefly; when shown, it includes two mothers. The story follows the affectionate relationship between the baby and the aging dog.
