Next to Me

After school, a child walks through an urban neighborhood with their mom and dogs, noticing what appears beside what. The child spots chalk beside tiny sidewalk plants, a cloud near an airplane, and construction activity along the route home. There are also familiar scenes at the laundromat and basketball court. At home, Papa prepares broccoli, noodles, and dumplings before bath time and a bedtime story. The day closes with the child surrounded by soft things in bed.
