Moxie
Jennifer Mathieu
In a small town in east Texas, Vivvy is drawn to the Riot Grrrl music and zines her mother loved as a teenager. Angered by sexism at school, she anonymously creates a zine called Moxie that names the abuse girls face and urges action. Lucy, a new student and outspoken feminist, embraces it, while Vivvy’s friend Claudia doubts both the label and the effort. As the zine circulates, girls from different racial and class backgrounds begin connecting through the growing movement.
