This account recounts the relocation of Annie Miller’s three-story Idaho home. After losing her money and raising pigs for income, Annie faced a city prohibition on livestock. Rather than leave either the pigs or her house, she and her son Douglas decided to move the building beyond the city limits. Workers placed it on massive logs and used horses to pull it forward, repeatedly moving the rear logs to the front. The four-mile journey took a month, with Annie and Douglas reportedly living inside during the move.
