Mirror Girls

Twin sisters Charlie Yates and Magnolia Heathwood are secretly separated as infants after their parents are lynched for loving across the color line. At the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement, Charlie becomes a young Black organizer in Harlem. Magnolia, who passes as white, is heir to a cotton plantation in rural Georgia and does not know her racial heritage. The town’s slave-holding past remains present through its secrets and ghosts.
