Milo Imagines the World

While riding the subway, Milo feels nervous and draws the people around him to occupy himself. He imagines private lives for a man with facial hair, a bride, a boy in spotless sneakers, and a group of break dancers. When he meets the other boy’s gaze, Milo considers what strangers might imagine about him. He and his sister later join a long line, where he sees the boy again.
