A little dog recognizes that his family has gone to bed: a bedside lamp clicks off, nighttime sounds begin, and shadows gather in the corners. Although his own moon-shaped bed is ready, he is not sleepy. He thinks about the good parts of his day, then walks through the house, goes upstairs, checks on a sleeping girl, and returns down the hall. At last, he curls up in his own bed and falls asleep.
