From the Desk of Zoe Washington

On Zoe Washington’s twelfth birthday, a letter arrives from Marcus, the father she has never met. He is in prison for a crime he maintains he did not commit, and Zoe begins looking into what happened while keeping both his letters and her investigation from her family. During the summer, she works at a bakery and hopes to show her parents she deserves to audition for Food Network’s Kids Bake Challenge. Her search also begins a new relationship with her father.
