Everyone Gets a Turn

Bear, Turtle, Mouse, and Hare find an egg in the woods and decide to care for it together. When they cannot agree who should bring it home, a voice from the egg insists that each friend have a turn. Mouse keeps the egg warm with a fire and clothing. At Bear’s home, the egg cracks and becomes a bird. Hare helps the young bird try foods until it finds one it likes, while Turtle’s home offers space to explore, question, and talk. The bird eventually makes a home and chooses the name Clara.
