Min, an E. coli microbe, leads an interactive tour of microbes found in familiar places: the book’s pages, a front tooth, a shirt, and a belly button. Microscope photographs turn these ordinary surfaces into unfamiliar landscapes populated by different microbes. At each stop, Min meets organisms such as streptococcus, fungus, and corynebacterium, shown as comic-style characters. The book combines factual information about microbial populations with a playful journey through everyday objects.
