Blackward

Blackward centers on people who are Black, queer, nerdy, punk, and sometimes seen as weird or awkward. Rather than rejecting those identities, they claim them with pride. After feeling that they do not belong, they seek a place to relax, talk, and find community. The book focuses on the need for connection and for a welcoming space where people with these overlapping identities can spend time together without having to fit somewhere else.
