Binny in Secret

While her family’s house is repaired, Binny lives in a rental home at the edge of town. She finds objects in its attic and notices pawprints in the nearby wilds, clues that suggest a mysterious creature. Her present-day troubles with a classmate and new neighbor, Clare, alternate with the early-twentieth-century story of Clarry, Pete, and their cousin Rupert. Binny’s discoveries lead her to make assumptions about Clarry, a girl who longed to study science despite her father’s objections.
