Bim Bam Boom
Frédéric Stehr
An owlet begins drumming on an overturned saucepan with wooden spoons. Another young bird adds cymbals made from pan lids, and three more avian friends join the growing kitchenware band. A colander, spatula, measuring spoon, and fork each contribute a different sound. Their noisy performance ends when an adult owl retrieves the kitchen tools and trades them for a treat. By the final page, the young birds are looking toward shelves of colorful preserves, suggesting that their next shared project may be about to begin.
