A Day with Mousse
Claire Lebourg
Mousse lives in a house by the sea and values a quiet routine of coffee, radio, beach walks, swimming, and sorting the small objects left by the tide. He also returns stranded living creatures to the water. One day, the tide brings Mr. Barnacle into Mousse’s living room. Mousse asks the large visitor to leave, but when Mr. Barnacle becomes ill, Mousse cares for him instead. After Mr. Barnacle recovers and departs, Mousse finds his home feels lonelier than before.
