After a terrorist attack near Sabriya’s home, anti-Islamic sentiment grows across the country and disrupts the summer she had carefully planned. Along with two other Black Muslim girls, Sabriya creates a space where they can challenge assumptions and share their own truths. The novel centers Black Muslim girls responding to a changed world and to prejudice following the attack.
