York: The Shadow Cipher

In an alternate-history version of New York City with steampunk elements, three children face the possible destruction of their homes. They race to solve a puzzle dating from the eighteenth century, because the solution could save those homes. The novel combines a time-sensitive mystery with puzzles, an imagined New York, and the children's effort to protect where they live.
