This graphic adaptation follows Winnie-the-Pooh, the anthropomorphic teddy bear also called Pooh or Edward Bear, and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. The book presents their adventures through straightforward black-and-white art. Pooh first appeared by name in a Christmas Eve 1925 children’s story, and the character was created by A. A. Milne with illustrator E. H. Shepard. Milne drew inspiration from a stuffed toy bought for his son and a bear the pair had seen at London Zoo.
