Where’s the Elephant?

An elephant, a parrot, and a snake hide among trees in a forest landscape. As a city grows into the jungle they call home, the trees disappear and the animals must face a changing habitat. Each spread includes the three animals, inviting readers to look closely for them while the landscape shifts from forest toward urban development. The almost wordless book uses acrylic, collage, and pencil illustrations to trace this encroachment.
