We Are Not from Here

Three teens from Guatemala grow up amid the dangers of a town dominated by gangs. When threats become real, they decide to flee their country, their families, and their home. Crossing Guatemala and Mexico, they travel along the route of La Bestia, a dangerous train system, hoping it may carry them toward a better life in the United States if they survive the journey. They have one another during the flight.
