We Are Here to Stay: Voices of Undocumented Young Adults

We Are Here to Stay brings together the accounts of nine undocumented young adults living in the United States. They explain how and why they came to the country, as well as the experiences that followed. Arriving as children or teens, they came from South Korea, Mexico, Independent Samoa, Ghana, and Colombia, usually with their parents; one arrival involved trafficking. Each chose to speak about personal experiences and dreams. To protect identities, the book represents each person only with a first initial and a dash. Notes about the interviews and additional resources appear in the end matter.
