Turtle Boy
M. Evan Wolkenstein
During the year of his bar mitzvah, seventh grader Will Levine must complete a community-service project that involves hospital visits. He is frightened of hospitals and is also targeted by classmates because of his unusual-looking chin. Will is assigned to visit RJ, an older boy living with an incurable disease. Their first meeting goes badly, adding another challenge to Will’s already difficult school year.
