True Letters from a Fictional Life

James Liddell is known in his small Vermont town as a successful athlete, a capable student, and Theresa’s boyfriend. In private, however, he writes letters he never plans to send to people around him. Through those letters, James reveals that he is gay and that his relationship with Theresa does not reflect how he feels. When the letters expose him, his friends and family must respond to what he has kept hidden.
