The Walk (A Stroll to the Poll)

A young Black girl joins her grandmother for a walk without knowing where they are headed. As they move through their predominantly Black neighborhood, more people join them, and some remember earlier walks connected to speaking out. At the girl’s school, her grandmother reveals that their destination is the polls. The girl learns that voting is a shared community responsibility, set against concerns about efforts that make voting more difficult.
