The Talk: Conversations about Race, Love & Truth

Thirty authors and illustrators, predominantly BIPOC, share personal pieces in several forms, including stories, letters, and comics. Their contributions address racism, culture, advocacy, race, identity, and self-esteem. The collection presents direct conversations intended for young people and brings together writers such as Renée Watson, Grace Lin, Meg Medina, and Adam Gidwitz. Each contributor approaches these subjects through personal anecdotes and creative work.
