Rick

Rick enters sixth grade without having thought much about his identity. He has tolerated Jeff’s bullying behavior, including Jeff’s homophobia, and feels uneasy when his father jokes about girls he might date. At school, Rick encounters the Rainbow Spectrum club, where students with varied genders and identities gather. The club offers him a new place to look for answers while his friendship with Jeff becomes harder to navigate.
