The Secret Life of a Sea Turtle

A green sea turtle’s life begins in a nest at Mexico’s Ría Lagartos nature reserve. After hatching, she faces predators on land and in the water before reaching the sea. The account follows her across the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, including danger from sharks and human-made nets. At age thirty, she returns to the shore where she hatched, digs a nest, and lays her own eggs.
