The Red Bandanna (Young Readers Adaptation)

This nonfiction account chronicles the life, death, and legacy of Welles Crowther, known as the man in the red bandanna. It recounts the actions of Crowther and other everyday people during the September 11, 2001 attacks. Written by ESPN correspondent Tom Rinaldi, the young readers’ adaptation centers on the choices made by people who helped others during the crisis.
