The Moon Won’t Talk

Set in 1966, the novel follows George Parker, a secluded teenager with an active imagination, during a summer in Eden, South Carolina. He expects to spend the season with Buster, his dog, comic books, a bicycle called Lightning, and a fishing rod. Those expectations shift when Gerard Free arrives at the deteriorating mansion next door. Eden’s outwardly peaceful old Southern setting contains an element of magic.
