The History of Western Art in Comics Part One:Prehistory to the Renaissance

In this graphic novel, two children touring Paris with their grandfather begin discussing the art around them, from movie houses and stadiums to museums and the subway. Their conversation becomes a history of Western art. It starts with cave drawings and the pyramids of Giza, then moves through Greco-Roman ingenuity and Renaissance frescoes. The book uses a family outing and comics to trace art across these periods and places.
