Sixth grader Geez faces a major change when her Latinx family loses its home amid serious financial difficulties. As the family’s circumstances shift, Geez works to contribute by developing entrepreneurial abilities. The novel follows her struggle to retain hope while relying on family and friendship during a period of housing loss and financial pressure. Her efforts are part of doing her share for the family.
