The Female of the Species

After the man who kidnapped, raped, and mutilated her sister is released for lack of evidence, Alex Craft plans and carries out his murder. Years later, as a high-school senior, Alex has no remorse but expects to live alone. Her isolation changes as she forms a friendship with Peekay and begins a relationship with Jack. Alex’s anger at violence against women and girls resurfaces after Peekay is drugged at a party, confronting her with another crisis of abuse and injustice.
