Seventeen-year-old Ginny Park is a Korean girl born in Japan and facing expulsion from high school again. After a breakdown, she is sent to attend school in the United States. Ginny must determine how to move forward while confronting injustice and prejudice. Her coming-of-age experience is shaped by her Zainichi Korean identity, her movement between Japan and the United States, and the discrimination she encounters.
