The Bagel King

Eli looks forward to a Sunday routine with his grandfather, Zaida: bagels from Merv’s Bakery and time together enjoying them. Then Zaida falls at the bakery, hurts himself, and must rest at home for two weeks. With his grandfather unable to deliver the freshly baked bagels that neighbors and family expect on Sundays, Eli’s familiar ritual is interrupted. The story centers on the bagel deliveries and what happens after Zaida’s fall.
