Gator, Gator, Gator!

A young girl heads through the swamp, or bayou, in search of a huge alligator. She does not make the expedition alone: the story directly brings the reader along on the hunt. As she keeps looking, possible sightings leave the gator’s location uncertain. The search is told in rhyming, rhythmic language and is illustrated with mixed-media, digitally altered imagery. The book remains focused on the girl’s lively pursuit of the elusive animal.
