Tagging Freedom

Set in Damascus, Syria, this story centers on Kareem Haddad, who never expects to make graffiti. After boys from another town paint messages critical of authority outside their school and a boy dies in custody, Kareem and his friends begin secretly placing freedom messages across their city. Graffiti also connects two cousins living on different continents as courage and convictions are challenged. Their actions become a form of expression and resistance in their city.
