Saving Hawai'i's Honu

This biography follows sea turtle scientist George Balazs and his work with Hawai‘i’s green sea turtles, or honu. After seeing his first honu, he moved to Hawai‘i to study them and found their population declining as turtles and shells were sold. He lived on remote beaches, researched the turtles, educated the public, and advocated for protection at the state-government level.
