Race Cars: A children’s book about white privilege

Two best friends, one a white car and the other a black car, enter the same race. Although they share the competition, they encounter different rules and have unequal experiences. Their story is used to explore race, privilege, and oppression. The book is framed as a starting point for conversations between children and adults about those issues and about racial bias.
